Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-14

Draft— this document has not been reviewed by counsel. Three fields are still to be filled: the operator's legal name, the contact email and the governing jurisdiction.

1. Who we are

PropertyTend is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY]. It is an invite-only alpha: a place where people post property projects, list homes, offer services and work with each other. This policy describes what the service does with your information today. Where we do not do something yet, it says so.

2. What we collect

  • When you request access: your email, and the name, note and interests you choose to give.
  • Your account: your email address, your name, and a password, which our authentication provider stores only in hashed form.
  • Your role profiles: a display name and photo for each role you use (for example homeowner, service provider, landlord), and a per-team display name if you join a team.
  • What you create: projects, listings, saved searches, services, business profiles, and the files you attach to them; addresses you type.
  • What you exchange: enquiries, invitations to quote, offers, messages, reviews, and the contacts, pipeline cards, tasks and notes you keep in the CRM.
  • Notifications we generate for you, and your email preferences.
  • If you subscribe: which plan you hold and your Stripe customer reference. We never receive your card details.

3. Why we use it

To run the service you asked for: to sign you in, to match projects with providers and searches with places, to deliver enquiries, offers and messages to the people they are meant for, to notify you, and to bill a paid plan. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who sees what you do

Access is enforced in the database, row by row. In general only you, and the team you share a workspace with, can see what you create. The exceptions are the ones the product is for:

  • What you publish is public, to anyone on the web, signed in or not: a published listing (including its address and photos), a published service, a business profile, and the reviews left on a service. Reviews are shown without the reviewer's name.
  • When you act toward someone — send an enquiry, invite a provider to quote, make or accept an offer, send a message — they see the name and photo of the role you acted in, as it was at that moment. Changing your profile later does not rewrite what they already received.
  • A provider matched to your project sees a brief of it — the title, description, category, budget, timing and the location as you typed it — but not who you are or the project's map point.
  • Other users see your email address only if you put it in something you send them (an enquiry form, for example, offers your account email as the contact to reply to).
  • PropertyTend staff can see account details and access requests to run the service.

5. Third parties we rely on

  • Supabase hosts the database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Resend delivers the notification and invitation emails we send you.
  • LocationIQ turns an address you type into a map point.
  • OpenRouter passes the text you type into the plain-language composer to a third-party language model, which fills in the form for you. Only that text is sent — never your photos or attachments.
  • Stripe takes payment for a paid plan on its own pages (Checkout and the Customer Portal).
  • OpenStreetMap serves the map images on pages with a map, directly to your browser.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies that keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers which role you last worked in, on your device. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on PropertyTend.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account exists. Some deletion is built: you can delete a project that never received an offer, remove a service, and delete contacts and tasks. Other deletion is not built yet — in particular, files you attach are retained until deletion is built, even after the thing they were attached to is deleted, and there is no self-serve way to close an account. Until then, email us and we will do it by hand.

8. Your choices

You can change your names and photos on your profile, turn each kind of notification email off in your settings or with the link in any email, unpublish a listing, pause a service and withdraw a project. To get a copy of your information, correct it or have it deleted, email [CONTACT EMAIL].

9. Changes

This is an alpha draft and it will change as the service does. When it changes we will update the effective date above.

10. Contact

Write to [CONTACT EMAIL] with any question about your information. See also the Terms of Service.
